| I think you're right although you need good direction too. Any tips on how directors can make things easier for an actor or actress? |

Correct. Good direction is essential.
Problem is, some directors just don't know how to direct. I've seen good ones and bad ones.
Tips? Explain exactly what you mean to the actor and make sure they understand you. |

Some directors definitely don't know how to direct, and some actors don't know how to act.
I know a few actors who if you explain to them what you want, they'll be upset because you told them what you want so they think you're limiting their creative expression. |
